Engagement Story
WE SWIPED RIGHT
We matched on Tinder in February 2020, just one month prior to the pandemic. Our first date was 2.11.20—Sydney’s birthday. Our second date was 2.14.20—Mikey’s birthday. Some might say it was written in the stars, others might say we’re just two lucky ducks. We’ve spent the past three and a half years eating all the things, traveling all the places, and building a life we love.
Mikey proposed on 9.3.23, after three and a half years together, on a sunny warm summer’s day in a romantic patch of lawn in Prospect Park.
Civil Ceremony
WHEN ARE YOU SAYING “I DO”?
In case you’re curious, we’re tying the knot in a private ceremony at New York City Hall on March 28th, 2024 with our photographer as witness.
Afterwards, we will be doing a photoshoot in the quintessential New York neighborhood: the Lower East Side. We are viewing this day as our love letter to NYC, as we plan on relocating to Fort Collins, Colorado in the future.
Gifts
We have chosen not to have a registry. Your presence is gift enough, however if you’d like to shower us, we would greatly appreciate monetary contributions towards our honeymoon and future move fund.
We will have a card box for collections at the restaurant the day of our celebration.
